Celebrating the amalgamation of Nelson Bays and Tasman Volleyball

TE TOTARA is an important part of our VTI programmes, offering development through Holiday Skills Programmes in the school holidays.

Volleyball FUN for all. 8-Weekly Leagues for young and old, social to competitive are played throughout the year.

School teams participate in 1- and 2-day indoor and beach tournaments in preparation for Tasman, Island and National Schools Championship events. ​​​​​​

Players aspiring to play at a higher level, can trial through the PIPELINE programme, for selection to VTI Age Group (U19, 17, 15, 13) Representative teams, competing in Island and National Championships.

LEAGUES

On Mondays LEGENDS (Social) league is year-round. 

KARETI (College) leagues are played on Thursdays in Terms 1 and 4 and for the younger players 8-week competitions are run by Tasman Kiwi Volley and Saxton Sport Club in Terms 1 and 4 - SETTERS (Y4-7) and SPIKERS (Y7-8).

Additional to the regular weekly competitions the NVL for College A/Club specific teams is held in Term 1 with a goal to help prepare teams for Schools Nationals.

VTI have two popular “drafted players” short leagues - TDL in Term 2, and NVLD in Term 4.

VTI offers volleyball development opportunities throughout the year - TE TOTARA age group (OPEN) programmes and volleyball skills extension through the PIPELINE (Talent ID) programmes.​​​​​​​
